AKA

BikeWeek was an event cooked up by Laura Stec, an avid cycler and BAA’s special projects coordinator. It was billed as “A Feel Good, Have Fun, Do Good, Get Things Done Kind of Event,” and featured a full week of bike-themed special events that helped people get out of their cars and see how they could do more on their bicycles.

  • Monday, May 15 — Business Challenge (Monday through Friday)
  • Tuesday, May 16 — Bike To Schools Day
  • Wednesday, May 17 — Bike To Market Day
  • Thursday, May 18 — Bike To Breakfast Day
  • Friday, May 19 — Bike To Health Club Day
  • Saturday, May 20 — Silicon Valley Cycle Rally
  • Sunday, May 21 — Bike To Downtown Day

There were also Just For Fun Tours, an Evening Lecture Series, and some pre-BikeWeek events. All events were free, except the Silicon Valley Cycle Rally which had a $15 registration.
