Bio
Chuck was a founding member of BAA and served on the first Board of Directors formed in 1991, including a stint as co-chair in 1993. “It’s like a family,“ Chuck told the Peninsula Times Tribune in January 1993. “It’s a community, the way we all work together.“
Among other things, Chuck was passionate about passing a comprehensive nuclear test ban and preserving old-growth forests in California and the Pacific Northwest. We was very active in BAA’s early Forest Action Team, which mobilized volunteers to attend rallies and actions in Humboldt County for Redwood Summer.
