Founded by organizers of Earth Day 1990, BAA is a grassroots network of citizens dedicated to preserving and improving the natural environment of the San Francisco Bay Area. BAA initiates programs and events, educates and empowers individuals, and lends support to other organizations so that, as a community, we may better address local and regional environmental issues. BAA is working to carry environmental issues beyond discussion into positive change.

Our vision is that each individual in the community be an informed, participating citizen. In this, our second newsletter, we hope you will find material that educates, inspires, and activates you. Because the Earth needs more than just a day.
