Bay Area Action would like to thank American Printing in Palo Alto, and Conservatree Paper Company in San Francisco for their generous support. The resources they provided BAA demonstrate that their dedication to caring for the environment goes beyond mere talk.
In addition to making possible the printing of this, our first newsletter, Kamron Motamedi of American Printing has demonstrated how a single small business can make a positive impact on the environment. Since March, when he finally convinced the Youth Enterprises recycling center to provide him with bins and a pickup service suitable to the size of his business, he has recycled over 100,000 sheets of paper — about 1,300 pounds, the equivalent of nearly five trees. After just one year of recycling, he will have saved nearly 20 trees.
Kamron’s neighboring businesses can now recycle as well, bringing their materials to his store. And he stocks a variety of recycled papers — insuring that his customers complete the conservation cycle.
For information on how you and your local businesses can preserve natural resources by recycling, contact your local recycling center listed in the front of the phone book.
